Each organization will at certain point reach the stage where several applications of different nature need to be tied together: on one hand we have flashy and catchy applications needed by Marketing, on the other we have financial applications needed by accountancy, while legal and logistic have application of their own.
WEBCentric has long history of building such 'application interfaces', hereby we'll try to list down most important ones.
Application A: ACN Webshop
Application B: ACN Autoship
Application C: Exact Software
The goal was to integrate Webshop and Autoship (2 applications of a same kind, but different business logic), with Exact, which is used by ACN logistics and financial departments.
The interface developed by WEBcentric exports Webshop and Autoship orders into Exact, taking care of billing, VAT and other details in a fully automated and configurable way. Further on Exact takes control - invoices are being generated, sales logistics managed etc etc
On the other hand, items featured in Webshop are taken from Exact - thus minimizing the amount of human work.
Technologies: XML, VB, MS SQL, Exact
On one side of this process is TFR - Telephone Fault Reporting tool, used by ACN custoemrs to report problems with their phone line.
On the other side we have DISEMP, complex billing / CRM software, which needs to be fed by TFR records, so ACN personnel can resolve customer's problems.
Technologies: OO ASP, Oracle, SQL Server, Web Services, XML
Application A: OFPS customers application
Application B: OFPS financial application
While customer application serves OFPS's business model for tracking and billing purposes, it does not have any accountancy nor financial modules, since OFPS makes use of off-the shelf tool (PSIT, Belgrade).
Currently, WEBCentric is busy with building a Web Service which wiil enable PSIT application to query customers and their billing data, in order to automatically generate invoices and prepare VAT reports.
Technologies: Web Service, Axis, XML, J2EE, MS SQL Server
